“But I need it, I really need it!” How often do we hear this cry? Or worse the stomping frustration when our kiddos can’t express what we need in words?
The questions of how much do we really need, what is enough, what would make what we have better are very deep. These are actually really important questions when evaluating services offered for and clients and families living on the spectrum. The state of Pennsylvania has taken on the task of surveying the entire state, with the goal of understanding what people need and did not have, what they felt they need, what they were grateful to have, but really needed more of…
This survey was brought to FACT by our colleagues in Orange County. Our thanks going to Zoey Giesberg and Tamara Haas and the parents of our Monday night support group for their help in making this both workable and meaningful for our community. So now we are ready to ask all of you to tell us what you NEED, what do you do constantly say ” if I only I had or if only my child could….
So please take your time to ” speak” to us. Stomp your feet over things you know you want but can’t seem to find, sigh over things you know are helping but just need more of or maybe that you need to find closer to home, and cheer when you see you have things you never even realized you needed.
As a parent of a child or an adult with ASD, we are asking you to take less than 10 minutes to fill out a survey about our services. We ask you to ask your friends to fill it out.
It is our hope that we will come to understand the needs of our “families & community to empower us to both connect you to the services you ask for, and begin to develop the services that are needed. We looked forward to connecting with you.
We thank you in advance for your participation. If you have any questions please contact [email protected]
